Creating a clubhouse for kids at the Golden Gate Park Golf Course

September 11, 2015

Last Spring, I got the chance to participate in a project for the First Tee, an international non profit association with youth development programs based on golf.

Their vision was to turn a container into a clubhouse at the Golden Gate Park, and my part was to design and paint a big panel (4'x8') that was placed later on in the center of this space.

The mural was to reflect the values and essence of the organization, and I also used a color pallette that would match the Interior Design that other AAU students already created.

It was wonderful to paint for a good cause, putting my style and self-centerness on one side, just thinking about the little kids who would enjoy looking at it later.

The opening ceremony was a great event. We got to meet the First Tee San Francisco team who made it happen, and was very welcoming and thankful. The kids seemed very happy about their new space to study and play, and that was very rewarding for all.
